Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week is a week that has been set aside, for the last 28 years to honor successful minority entrepreneurs.  The week is celebrated locally, regionally and nationally and was originally started by President Reagan in 1982. 
Over the years many events have been organized to pay tribute to the small businesses and the individuals who run them.
